HELP! having trouble to copy the frequency of my condo garage gate's transmittion.

i read owner's manual... delete by pressing 1 and 3 and the light fresh rapidly, so i start copy by pressing the garage fog button as well as the 1 button on the rear mirror. hold it for 40sec still doesn't work.... HELP.
followed instruction again and again, tried different ways... but it doesn't work...
anyone using the universal romote control? how do you copy the frequency?
thanks for your comments.

Garage List
If your garage door is of the type that randomly cycles through codes then need to take some extra steps to get it working.

On mine I had to do things in this order

1.) Have BMW "learn" one remote opening signal from your current remote.

2.) Hit special red button on my garage door opener (not the remote, the actual opening mechanism itself)

3.) within 1 min or 30 seconds, press the open button on the rearview mirror.

This makes your garage door remember that one particular code that your BMW opener learned, and respond to that code.

Most of the systems these days cycle through codes for security reasons.

Considering this is a condo gate though you may have trouble if their system uses rolling codes. You'll have to talk to someone there to get the code memorized by the opener if it has that capability.

I see a red button. but the red button is reset, is that the one you are talking about?
i am afraid it will affect the whole condo if i press the wrong button. THanks.

You have to know whether the Opener on the gate/door uses 'Rolling Codes" If its over 15 years old it probably doesn't.

Anyone heard of mega code?
I found info that the gate could be a commercial not residential gate, which could be a mega code, not a rolling code... So anyone can tell me how to program a mega code? Thanks
