Subframe bushing removal tool?
I've noted that a special tool is used to remove the bushings. I have various presses at the shop. I also have a differential bearing removal press that would likely work beautifly. Anyone have pics of a description of the "tool" they are referring to? I didn't see any. Thanks.

Not sure about the newer models, but I've seen the subframe bushings being removed on an E34. The tool looked like a two jaw puller, but the arms are fixed, and used to push instead of pull. Then there is a long threaded shaft in the middle that goes through the busing, and threads into a cup on the other side of the bushing. You then pull against the cup, and the two arms put tension against the subframe, and pull the bushing through. This allows you do replace the bushings without completely removing the subframe. Does this help?

How do you put the new one in? Just tap it with a rubber mallet?

Ah so ther're not really that pressed in there then. Nice. They should be easy to remove then as I suspected with enough clearance to put in the driveshaft press.
