Spotted 4 135's today 10/31 at NJMP Thunderbolt

Are you on here?
Today was my first ever trackday...well, it was a 1 session/1 classroom hyperdrive with PDA and I had a blast! I also got some passenger seat time in a Mustang GT and got to ride with an instructor in a '11 Cayman S....I liked Caymans before today but I have a lot more respect for them now! What a car!

I think i'm hooked!

I don't think there was just one other 135. There were at least two (one blue and one grey doing the time trial; Carl Mehne is his name I believe) Possibly more

It was decently fun

Glad you had fun. Enrique really is a good driver too despite what he tells you about it being entirely the car doing everything for him. He just got that car a few months ago. Previously he had a C6 vette which he had a horrible accident with on the street (not his fault) and before that he owned that Camaro that went out with us during the hyperdrive. He's a really good guy too.

Sounds like you didn't get a chance to ride with Steve in the M3? That would've been a fun ride too for you.

Good! Too bad you have to wait till the spring now

Glad you had fun though and it was pretty funny to be able to hook up.

Just sent you a PM!
I really have to give you credit that my first day tracking wouldn't have been as fun without you as a guide!

Got to shake hands with quite a few instructors and know who to see for next season. Thanks to you, not only did I track my car today (although slowly) but got to experience what 7/10ths in a Cayman S by an experienced driver was like and my first time on track in that Mustang you took me out on...got my blood rushing, especially after you pushed it lol

My 135i although never track tested before today felt very confidence inspiring and I can't wait to take it out again at a future full HPDE.

Thanks again for letting me hang and introducing me to everyone! I really was track-ignorant before seeing you today!

Not a problem... we'll get you on track some more next year. It's a very addicting (and expensive) hobby though!

I was there... I came by a couple times to talk to you, but you were never by your car.
I was the AW with #20 on the side on the other side of the paddock.

I walked by you a few times I think but you had a group of people and I didn't want to seem like a total utter n00b asking you n00b questions in front of your friends and looking like an ass.

But yeah...I spent most of my time if not during my session, meeting some instructors with Kieran trying to be a passenger.

I was one of them. White 135i with white #7 stickers. It was nice to see more 135i cars than usual. Glad to here you liked the track day. See you next season.

I saw you too and you are the first '11 135i i've ever seen with DCT!

eh, we're all n00bs at some point...

but you seem pretty into this. you should just throw some brake pads on, change the fluid (i like Brembo 600), and take it on the track next spring. i go to Watkins Glen a lot, and that's an awesome track. NJMP is much more forgiving if you go off tho...
