Does no one else think that the price of the audi is a bit much? It looks like it is a great all around car however in that price bracket I would start looking elsewhere ie. Porsche

The US TT-RS has an official 0-60 time of 4.2 as stated by audi. That is the 360hp motor with manual transmission. So it should be a bit quicker than 4.2 as audi is conservative with their numbers...

Actually it is 4.6seconds 0-100km/h as stated on the Audi.de website.

If my crazy unit converter is somewhat accurate that would put the 0-60mph time somewhere in the 4.44seconds.

I agree. There is no way that ttrs piece of garbage is doing 12.1 and zero to 60 in 3.6.....so I guess should just forget getting a 911 turbo then get of here man. My fathers dodge viper gts does 12.1 get your facts before you just post anyting out of you a**.

This is the correct numbers...I drove a ttrs I was not impressed considering its 66k. If that was doing an astonishing 12.1...it would be right with a 500hp z06 I dont think so....Im not a fool I know my cars....if that was the case the ttrs would have smoked the 1m up and down its called wrong information. Whoever thinks this ttrs can take flight. Needs to go read up on cars for about 600 hours, you know take a car lesson. On facts. I cant believe someone posted those stupid numbers, and people are actually arguing it. So I guess this ttrs dash z dash supercar can beat a e92 m3 with 414 hp 4.2 v8...which beats the gt500 I highly doubt this.

Did you drive the Euro spec?
Cause there aren't any US spec TTRS's at this time.

C&D posted what they achieved on the test. If their printed time is wrong, then hopefully we'll see a correction in the next issue. Till then their time is what it is. if that is what they achieved, then all the calculating and nay saying can't change the fact.

Regarding power and accel, as I posted earlier, the TT-S, which has less power than the Z4 tied it in the 60 and 1/4 mile run.
Just because a car has a lot of power doesn't mean it can always achieve great 0-60 times or even 1/4 mile.
You can see that in the new Mustang where the Boss 302 is as fast as over 500hp Rousch Mustangs.
You have to be able to put the power down very effectively for a quick 60 and 1/4 mile time. It's all about traction.
Good AWD has awesome accel traction.
That's how the STI and EVO achieve their quick times with "modest" power levels. Then, as speed increases they don't accel so fast.
High dollar, ultra high HP cars tend to demonstrate their high speed prowess and handling more so than their 60 or 1/4 mile times.

Are you sure you audi lovers.....arent talking about the rs5 thats coming to america soon that didnt even get tested here yet, because that one is going to have 444hp that sounds correct now 4.1 seconds 0-60 12.1. This makes sense now.

Also please be that fool to spend the money on a cayman or a ttrs...which the tts is a sled and didnt even come in manual. Please spend your 16k more...so I can flog you all day long in my 1 series. haaahaaaa

Sorry my typo, I meant the tts which was a dog and it was 60k. Fit and finish was nice but Its over rated and a 370 z would dog it. The competition which was so much cheaper were better choices man.

. I would have to spend 66k for friggin audi to finally go 0to60 in under 5 seconds

and wont have DCT and im pretty sure that it will not have launch control. I havent researched the Audi, but I know the euro and US spec arent the same so quoting the time from the wrong one isnt gonna work.

If youre gonna throw numbers out then throw the right numbers. I am not saying it can do 3.6, im simply saying THAT 4.6 youre quoting isnt for THIS car. How about YOU read?
