Do these baseline residuals assume 10k or 12k miles?

Either way, 58% = OUCH for the 135i.

39% after 5 years?

I bet a pristine 135i will retain more than that in the actual marketplace after that period of time.

Residuals posted are for 15K miles/year. Add 2% to Residual for 12k mi/yr and 3% for 10k mi/yr on all terms

Compare Lease Payments for Used BMW Models HERE

Use the following formula to calculate a lease payment:

(Cap Cost – Residual Value) / Term = Depreciation
(Cap Cost + Residual Value) X Money Factor = Interest
Depreciation + Interest = Base Monthly Payment

NOTE: These lease programs are provided by dealer partners of LeaseCompare.com and are for reference only. Rates may vary by region. Your dealer has the option of offering you a higher rate. My 330i ZHP sedan retained 54% value over 4 years/44k miles. In the real market, not la-la land.

My dealer emailed me and said, for a $39k 135i lease for 3year/12k miles and for some reason 20% down it would be 489/month... that means low 700's with nothing down....I think, and if so thats really high

135i msrp: $38,950
lease term: 36 months
lease miles: 12k/year
Money factor: .0031 "said that was standard"
cap cost reduction: 7800 "recommended"
monthly payment: $489.00 w/tax (or with my math around $700.00 with nothing down)

20%!!!!!! on a lease!!!...what ever that guy was smoking he needs to pass it onto me...obviously no one would ever put that much down on a lease

I'm really interested to see the lease rates as it gets closer to the release date

it dosnt seem worth it at all to lease this car... would make ALOT more sense to lease a 3-series with the deals you can get on them right now.
(I knew the 3's would have better deals but this just seems crazy)

my c.a. just informed me that the mf is .00370 for both the 128 and 135 for 24 and 36 months, ouch!. i assume that that includes the added mark-up of 0.0004 but it's still quite high, oh well-i was gleeful at seeing the 76% rv for 24 mos on the 128 but that mf, if correct, blows the deal up for me, let alone on the 135 and even the 128 at 36 mos.

So what's the deal with lease being so much more? Is it because it's a new car to the market? Or a limited production year? High Demand and low production?

All of you doing ED leases, add .0003 to whatever the MF is for US delivery on top of that. I would say that you'd have to be pretty hard up to lease an ED right now, with these rates... The payments may very well be close to buying the car.
