I don't think most of us are forgetting the E85; for a pure stock car its still a BS number by a dyno that reads high. You list a Bren tune what are your baseline, tuned numbers & what equipment fuel are you running.

Be interesting to see your dyno charts & time slips.

I am not currently tuned by Bren but have spoken pretty extensively with him. I will get a baseline, jb4 map comparison, 93oct and 93/E85 blend.

Saw the dyno film & the claim. 290whp is not a stock 135i baseline number, have no idea where he got it from.

The quickest135i in the country 11.2/123mph with stock turbos baseline dynos at 265.60whp on a Dynojet 446whp ready to race.

The same persons 335i the fastest twin turbo in the country 11.1/129mph baseline dynos at 270.12whp & 514whp ready to race

On page 3 there is an 07 base tune compared to 2 different protunes done by bren. Base made 267and close to 450 on e85 and bolt ons. I know usualsuspects car makes more in the 500 range for a race tune. Man 11.2 is moving lol

Now I'm no dyno master as others have stated here but I would hardly call that dyno chart on page 3 proof. The OP stated that with just an intake and E85 tune he made 125whp over stock.

The chart that you posted showed a baseline of 267whp and then a Bren-tuned reading of 350whp. That's an increase of 83whp which is more than believable for just a tune and what everyone would expect from a custom tune. The next run of 445whp (that you were calling the proof) added an exhaust, FMIC and DP plus who knows what else that didn't make it onto the dyno sheet summary.

So either the OPs intake added 42whp or... I don't know, I'm just confused.

Hah this whole thread is a cluster F. Ill have my tune chart up as soon as im tuned. My will be a base map compared to a Os, dci, and a axelback. Also the car in the page 3 sheet is an xi. It was more or less to show a baseline

Looks like more than "more or less to show a baseline." Just calling a spade a spade.

Thing is the base of 267whp is right in the range I would expect from a pure stock car...no problems with that.

My best run at New England dragway was 12.2 with just a dp intake and Jb4 tune map 7 with race fuel. My best trap of that day was 115. Prior to that day, I dynoed my car on a mustang dyno and made 402whp and 415 torque.. My mods are now listed below and we'll have to see what I'll run vs you Bren tuning fellas lol btw Im in Belmont and am always down to race ANYONE!

Challenge accepted....good thing were having a track day in the spring. I have a couple people going in the 11s, 10s, and 9's(atleast he should be in spring). Should be a fun night. I want a fair run though. Pump gas only. No e85 for this guy.

Question? I might be wrong. But your dyno sheet says dynojet..dynojet isnf a mustang dyno..correct? You should come down to the dyno day and just toss your car on the dyno to see what it makes on the dyno bren uses. That would also be interesting to me (maybe everyone else too)

Dynojet & Mustang are two different companies. Mustang tends to read more conservatively but as with any dyno its how the runs are set up.

You should not compare runs between different machines even of the same brand as an absolute number. Comparisons should always be against the baseline run on the same machine. General treads among machines are OK to use but they can vary by + or - X %
