What is the difference between the E9x radio and E8x?

I think it's simply mounting screw location?

Looking at Android radios (what a shit show) and it seems like the E9x ones come with more parts for less money than the E8x ones. for instance I've found some E9x ones that come with a backup camera while none of the E8x ones do.

On the 135 FB page this is all the rage right now:

But the one I want is for the E9x:

The face panel differs: 270*240*115mm vs. 295*265*120mm.
E8x and E9x have different dashboards so it won't fit.

*sigh

That's because the radio for the 1er sits on top of the dash while the 3er radio is flush.

It does look pretty cheap, but what would you expect from a no name radio made in China.

It sure would be nice to have a in-dash screen that has GPS and could display gauges.

Here is an ebay link with a better descriptions and pics:

I just could never bring myself to trust Dynavin's and these carbon copy knock offs from China.

Jorgensen54 I'm looking at getting a dynavin setup instead of a CIC retrofit, you'd advise against that?

Even if I'm not Jorgensen54:

If money doesn't matter so much, I always would retrofit the CIC. It's the best solution and it fits perfectly. In combination with a Combox you have a very capable system.
My car was equipped with the MASK and I've installed the CIC later - I never regretted this step.

Greetings Daniel

Question 2013 135is with Idrive control

Is there a PnP unit for a 2013 135is Head Unit? My car has the I drive controls and stock screen on dash.

Nice JB4 looks like it works well with the unit. Would MHD also work?

Yeah it's pretty wonky looking, don't know how they could make it flush maybe filly the gaps with gray double sided tape. LOL that bottom gap look like a nice place to hide a little something something though.

Hey guys... I'm looking for a similar CIC retrofit for a 2009 E88 with a 270mm top instead of the 295mm model (http://xtrons.com/pf7581bap-7-androi...1-e82-e88.html)...

Is there anything out there like this for the 270mm model??
