Introduction: BSM 130i

Hi all,

Just a quick introduction. My name is Chris.

After four and a half years of owning this marvellous beast, I needed something more practical.

I looked around at a couple Golf GTIs, MK5 and MK6, but they were quite boring to drive. I started hunting for a 130i within my budget, and came across a great buy, I think.

It's a 2006, with a tad over 48,000km.

Not many plans for it: a set of 18s (still trying to decide) wrapped in some sticky rubber. I don't plan to modify this car anywhere near as much as the MX-5, I suspect I'll sell it a couple years down the track.

It's a wonderful car: it does everything I want it to. It's quick, comfortable, handles pretty well, and most importantly... can store my road bike without even taking any wheels off!

After hours of detailing over the weekend, I think it finally looks pretty good. Here's the results of my detail session:

luckily the price to improvement ratio makes most mods a poor financial decision = deterrant

tips: wheels, suspension mods, tyres

Nice rides mate, welcome! Very clean- nothing beats a clean black car. I think a set of 18s would suit the car perfectly.

Where were those photos taken? Looks like Homebush Bay....I only say that because I was there yesterday
