Ah, I don't mean to come off as rude or anything, but I don't think it's worth the risk. Get a decent radar detector, don't screw yourself over with an illegal jammer, and accept the (diminished) risk of getting a ticket.

Today's traffic cop is tomorrow's homicide detective. If you were in a position to require the aid of a homicide detective, wouldn't you want a cop that is well aware of how to acquire accurate and admissible evidence?

If you're doing over the speed limit, and there is radar proof, you're clearly in violation of the law. This isn't a discussion of a driver's constitutional rights. It is a thread about willingly breaking the established law (which we aren't arguing if it is a revenue source, etc.), and how to cheat out of the legal obligations.

Thanks for all the input. I have realized that it's expensive and not worth the trouble if i get caught since i live in california. i didn't realize they were this expensive

In this car a good radar detector is worth the money. 10 minutes on the freeway, and you suddenly realize you are going 90.
