Yep, when you change your brakes for the Perf, you have to code it

But if you buy aftermarket brakes, I don't know if you have to ...

code what?

everything i've read says that it's just bolt up and brake, same bias for ABS and everything.

I know that's a bit strange, but if you take care, you get 6 pistons brakes in the BMW Perf package which are different from the 4 pistons brakes so I think that's why you have to code it !

But on 135i there are already 6 pistons brakes, that's why you may not have to code a 135i contrary to other versions ...

We should wait for reviews of guys who mounted Perf or aftermarket brakes

Standard non 135i's are single pistons, not 4 pistons

But if you don't have to code for a normal bbk, a bmwp kit would be no different

Thanks for the info. I have found the VO number but don't know the procedure. Would you have more details.

I know i have to add the VO and then code the affected modules, and this is where I am lost. I take I have to code DSC but, is there any other? I hope someone knows

Thanks, I have opened a post in ********* forum, but if someone with coding experience see this could help.

The question is, once you add the VO to the car, how do I code the DSC module so it knows about the new option?

I had the dealer code the car after install of the performance bbk as per the instructions that came with the kit.

I have ordered my coding cable and once I have it will give it a try. If I'm honest I am not installing true performance brakes for my 130i, but 335i instead. However, everyone says 335i brakes are better to the 135i 6 pot brakes, so will code my car as having performance brakes.

Gees, those 348mm discs are quite big... also the one pot calipers are kind of huge! will fill my wheels better and should improve braking somehow.
