Question What are the best Diverter Valves?

Hi,

I have a 135i with JB3+, intercooler Code3, BMW Perf. exhaust...
In map3, I have 383 hp = very good!
I have a noise when I put on the throttle. I think it's comes from the Diverter valves (OEM)...

So, I whant to put new Diverter Valves for remplace my OEM, but I don't know how make my choose:

1) Motorwork:

(link: http://www.mini-madness.com/madness-...er-valves.aspx)

2) Forge Motorsport:

(link: http://www.hpashop.com/product.sc?pr...categoryId=110)

3) Riss Racing valves:

(link: http://rissracing.com/alpha/?page_id...&product_id=18)

Thanks to help me!

Forge valves are pretty much the standard in the audi scene which has been dealing with turbo cars for around a decade...that's the route I would go from my experience.

Hiya,

I don't have much technical knowledge. Can somebody please explain in fairly simple terms what the advantages of these diverter valves are over the stock setup?

Is it about performance or reliability? Are they easy to fit?

Thanks

Jack

Well...

I put a JB3 in my car and now I have 383hp (instead of 306hp, original).
The original presure intake is 8,8 PSI in the 135i, but now I have 13-15 PSI.

So the stock valves are a little poor and slow for these presures.

More than performance, a bad diverter valve can damage the turbo. I my case, I think I have a leak (escape) when I press the trottle.

Sorry my english is poor to explain better...

Hello Abel!

I did the dyno with map3 because it's enought (!) and for this moment, I dont have the Bavarian Tools to delete the defects.

Yes, I have to change this Diverter Valves and then I will try to organize a track day in Gran Canaria (iqual then in April)...

Regards.
