Plugging back the Battery after winter storage

Hello Guys!

As the title says it am about to plug back my battery, car been stored since Dec 1st in a heated garage , i just unplugged the (-) and did not use a battery tender .

what am worried about though is any Engine errors. a friend of mine told me that the ECU will not recognize the battery etc,,, does this make any sense? will i have any issues by just plugging it back ?

Thank you

No you shouldnt have issues.

IIRC, the battery registration keeps track of miles, and so assuming the map is based upon miles and time, it should be fine. Some parameters may get learned regarding the engine and AT, but that is no big deal.
