Brake Torquing
For all those who used to have an automatic or have one now, what are your opinions on brake torquing (holding down brake and getting the revs up, then releasing brakes to do a hard launch). Bad for the torque converter?

I don't know about the 135i, but some cars like Ferraris and even the Evo X MR have a "launch control" mode specifically designed to handle this exact tactic.

I think launch control is only for cars with automatically operated clutches and not true automatics with torque-converters. I'm more interested on the effects of brake torquing on transmissions with torque-converters such as the standard BMW Steptronic.

Yes. Don't do it often and try to not go over 1500 rpm.
