JB4 low end power loss?

hey there guys! i was just curious to see if it was just my car or others as well that seems to loose power on low end with their jb4? im running dci, dps, mids and axle back. no resonators no mufflers, just straight pipe. im currently on map 5 to auto tune but it doesnt seem like its tuning first gear. when i try to rip it off the line, it feels like im back in my civic si waiting for vvvvvvvtakkkkk!

please lmk if you have this same problem so i dont feel so bad! it could also be because i live in houston and right now we have the most horrible heat soak known to human kind. thanks a bunch for yalls help!

I'm going to catch flak for this, but if you have your stock intake still, put it back on.

Garage List
Do you have DTC on? May want to turn it completely off.

The JB4 is programmed to reduce performance if the temperatures are too high. Check to ensure you have not turned on the 1st and 2nd gear torque limiting as well.

I have tried JB4 combinations with stock air box and DCI on map 1 and map 5. I do not think air box makes much difference unless you're in stop/go traffic, in which case stock box is better in summer. On map 5, no doubt you need DTC off. Preferably off on map 1 also. I have 255 rear tires but traction is a major issue in any gear at WOT.

Sounds like either you have the 1st gear boost limit turned on or you have DTC on. Map 5 with bolt-ons is going to have very little usable power in 1st gear with DTC on as it's constantly fighting/preventing wheelspin.

Correct, only through the USB. However, I believe you can bypass it by holding the volume down (minus) button while in first gear. So just keep your left hand on the minus button and let it rip...

Hi guys

Does the boost limit thing apply to JB3 also, or is it exclusively a JB4 feature?

Thanks
