Doesnt ZPP incl leather on a 135i?
Boston Leather is std on an M isnt it?
So premium should be around $1,500 on an M. ?

This order sheet seems international/universal, certain things I expect would be std on US models:

Either way I want mine as:
111D 1 M coupe
300 Alpine White
ZPP Premium package
760 Shadowline trim (should be std in US)
494 Heated front seats
521 Auto headlights and rain sensor (should be std in US)
534 Automatic climate control (should be std in US)
655 Satellite radio

amongst other std features.

Possibly, but I wouldn't be surprised if they would still charge the same price. I hope your right though.

You know at the end of the day, I'd be perfectly happy with a 'stripper'

All the extra's are nice, but are price gouging tactics. (even $1,500 for power seats, some extra lighting and an ipod and bluetooth hookup is a bit insulting, how do the koreans and japanese manage to have these features std at the price they sell cars??).

How is it a premium car doesn't come standard with auto dimming interior, mirrors, ambient light and usb aux in. Knowing BMW they will charge you at least 500 bucks for all these options which cost them less than 20 in parts and 50 total in labor.

I couldn't find them on BMW USA so, How much would the Power Foldin Mirror, Tire Pressure Monitor & 2-Zone A/C cost?

Beside these options, I'll add the Premium Package, Convenience Package, Heated Front Seat & H/K Surround System and taking into consideration these options' prices from other BMW models plus let's say MSRP $45000 (as been rumored) + my dealer $10000, the car will cost me $60-65000..

Seriously though...if they can offer things like Nav, HK sound, heated seats, ambience lighting, power folding mirrors, rain sensors and auto headlights, power seats with driver memory and so forth...whats wrong with offering a sunroof? I would rather have a sunroof and no Nav (I have a Garmin for that), power seats, lumbar support, headlamp washers and so forth. Its called personal preference. If BMW offers a premium car "package", that should be part of the option list.

We mean that the dealer has submitted the order to get it in their stock based on our preferences, we have not signed papers, negotiated the details etc. Its not a committment to buy yet. The deposits are to hold a place in line as getting the 1st/2nd/3rd car that that dealer is allocated. Also has been mentioned that you wont necessarily be offered the car you ordered. If you pass it up though, you may lose out altogether.
These orders presumably will assist in allocating the cars to the dealers and/or gauging the production needs initially. I doubt that the 2,700 limited run number is really a hard and fast number, also rumored that they will build as many as are ordered, but you should see them standing on lots, they are not pushing volume.

Hey, I still think it was a legit question.

Especially after hearing Dr. Seigler reference it as the "affordable M-car for young people" more times than I can recall. Yeah, affordable compared to M3, but no one getting out of college is buying this as their first new car! Not applicable to me, BTW... just a comment on BMW's marketing strategy as "affordable".

I think you'll probably be close, but not under $50k. More like low $50's ($51-52k).

Leather is "free" (part of the no-charge Value Package) on all 128i, 135i, and 328i models in the US for MY2011. So, the price of the Premium Package on the 135i does not include leather.

I placed an order on the 20th. The order system automatically adds the Premium Package when you select Convenience. The system also gives you the option to remove the ZCV if you choose not to add the Premium Package.

David

This is exactly the combination I would be looking for.

Yesterday I was showed a general manager's email coming from BMW management in Germany saying that they were bumping the production to 5000 because it has been a long time since BMW as created such excitement with a new car.

BMW 1 Series and 3 Series Coupes come standard with fold-down rear seats. Also, most of the standard content doesn't make it on to the Vehicle Inquiry Report.

Don't wait. Ignore the small stuff if the drive is what you're really after. Who knows what'll happen between now and 2014. You could wait and the combinations in the 2014 M3 end up being just as unattractive for you.
