r-spec tyre fitment experiences on track

Maximum best fit semi-slick r-spec tyres in 18Ē appear to be most commonly available in 235-245/40/18 f and 265-275/35/18 r.
35 series fronts too rare.

Iíve read various threads on the topic, the front potentially having height/width issues and the rear potentially having width issues. Iíve read threads on ET45 +5mm and ET62 +0-5mm will fit NT01 245/40 & 275/35.
Would like to hear from people tracking (road circuit) a set-up like this.

Also this website is awesome for showing dimension differences; http://willtheyfit.com

Iím not a big fan of big spacers, 3mm maybe I could live with and be confident about hub loading. With this in mind Iím leaning towards 8.5Ē ET38 f (b/c I donít want to run ET45 +5mm spacer and 3mm might not be enough) and 9.5Ē ET62 r (possibly a 3mm spacer on rear).

It would be a second set of track wheels, camber is -2.5f, -1.5 r. I will probably increase this to approximately -3f and -2r before deciding on a second set of wheels/tyres. Happy to do fender work on front.
While being a second set of wheels, I have a history of getting lazy with time so I know I will not always change wheels back the moment I park it up.

Suspension on order is TCKline D/A. Partially chosen to maximise front clearance. I know this could be in the wheel/tyre thread but Iím hoping for a more relevant reader here.

Up front, you'll need a lower offset to clear the strut. No idea how people are trying to use a +45 up front without the tire sitting on the shock. Need ET40 to be safe.

You'll need more than 5mm in the back to fit that wide of a tire. I'm running 255/35 on the 9.5 ET62 and I needed a 5mm spacer to not burn through the fuel filler line.

shame, i guess 265/35/18 on ET~59 (62-3) would also be tight then.

maybe 17" is the way to go if i can clear ST60 355mm Stoptech BBK. i think APEX can. but then the rear is still frustrating unless settling for square 245/40/17 x 8.5 - ET 40, maybe that's the best that can practically be done.

I see TSW make a 17 x 9 ET50 that should work better at the back for 17's and 255's.
