Proper Inflation: 330i 225 45 17's

I just got my new 330 last night. I drove just a little last night. The car was great. Still trying to find a good seat position. Even with lumbar all the way in, it seems to stick out a lot. The car was a little jumpy.

This morning I checked the air. The door panel has TWO inflation instructions: One for under 100 MPH and One for OVER 100 MPH.

Under 100 MPH is 29 Front and 36 Rear

Over 100 MPH is 33 Front and 41 Rear

My car had 39.5 in all tires.

So, I blead it down to 29/36 and what a difference. The ride is FIRM, but now it's not jumpy and when you go over a bump or go through an intersection with a depression, it's very smooth

This forum has warnings to check tire pressure and it's true. Good advice to follow here.

By the way, I have the Turanza Tires on my car.

i just checked my pressure and mine was greatly overinflated also.
Both my rears have 41 and my front tires have 39. I'm afraid to lower it
b/c i do not want lose the precise handling/tight steering feel.

You can always put the air back in, but you should try the recommended settings. They are there for a reason. When I reduced the pressure, just a bit of that rough ride disappeared. It's still very tight and solid.

Also, over inflation will wear the tire unevenly.

Try it, you might like it.
