Sandown Beginners Drift Day Saturday 7th March

If you’ve always wanted to have a go at drifting on the circuit, but didn’t want to attend a fully blown drift day, then we have a course that will suit you perfectly.

To be conducted at Sandown Raceway on Saturday 7th March 2009, this day is aimed at drivers who want to have a lot of fun and learn plenty about drifting from Australia's best professional drifters including Adam Newton, Luke Fink, and Chris Dejager.

The exercises will be conducted on wet roads to keep the speeds down and minimize wear and tear on your car.
The cost for this course is $195.00 including lunch and refreshments.

Guys I did this last time. I cannot emphasize enough what a fun and safe day this is. Learnt a lot about car control and had a hoot as well.

If I'm in the state, I'll be there again with bells on. Would love to see some more euro cars there as John (M5 above) and myself were the only euro's there. Getting sick of the S15s!

I had the camera on as well for two of the oversteer runs. Buggered the second one up haaha

Yes I am the Taka with the RX-8...

I intend to keep the RX-8 for track days so you will see me driving it still.

yes, same here. i'm getting rid of my turbo kit and going back to N/A. easier for the track, less stuff to break, more time focusing on the important issue...staying on the track!

Yeah... after seeing a MX-5 (Miata) track day at Winton heat (41 degree C) last weekend. I think it is more fun driving an easy maintain car than going all power.

135i on 40 degree heat track day will not last 2 laps before hitting limp mode I will say, judging how hot it actually runs in 20 degree at Sandown (in which my car traditionally runs cooler than in Winton).

I don't think my 135 is coming in March now....

Had lots of fun.... I guess there is one excercise (donut) that I can't do with my 1er because it is automatic.
