Horrendous desaster

Just want to express my sorrow for all the people suffering the terrible bushfires at the moment. I have personally been though 2 severe property threatening bushfire episodes (in Sydney in the early '90s and in Scamander in Dec '06) and it is a truely terrifying experience.

Poor Marysville, it was such a nice place to go for a drive. It won't ever be the same again......

Totally agree. I think this is one of those times where I'll dusting off my wallet to help out.

Yeah, listening to ABC 774 throughout the weekend and today. To all of you in Victoria and New South Wales, be assured that we're all thinking of you, throughout Australia.

We're a long way away here in Perth, but I wish I was closer so that I could help in a more tangible way.

I have a friends who lost their house in Marysville and the pictures have shown what a wide spread tragedy it is. It will be strange going back there after all the great memories. I hope the survivors get the support hey need quickly.
