I'm assuming you can have the iTouch controller for an E82 if you also have Professional CIC for the E82?

Just read it doesn't include iDrive touch controller. I think that would be another $250-$300 on top.

The kit I linked pretty sure includes iDrive touch controller. I THINK you need the NBT hardware as well but I cant find it on their site.

Ill send them an email and post back. I already have iDrive CIC Professional.

We will be happy to offer you an NBT retrofit kit for your vehicle. Here is what you will need:

1. Standard eNBT Retrofit Kit
• NBT head unit updated with the latest firmware and pre-coded for your VIN

• NBT CID display for your E82

• CID Video cable

• eNBT Retrofit Adapter (+ activation of navigation, voice control) – standard, no iDrive touch wiring

• Latest available maps

• Installation instructions

• Video streaming from USB stick/USB hard drive (if USB/AUX in the armrest is available)

• Video in Motion activation

• 6NR (BMW Apps)

• Sports display (real-time power and torque meters)

• Full NBT retrofit coding

• Free lifetime firmware updates


Regular price of the kit is $2,699.00CAD, special price is $2,515.00CAD.

We will pre-code the NBT system for your vehicle, but in certain cases, additional coding on the vehicle may be required. If it is required in your case, our engineer will do it for you at no additional charge, but you will need to have a ENET cable for remote coding (http://bimmerretrofit.com/store/inde...&product_id=78) - $75.00CAD. If any coding will be required for the vehicle, you will need USB K+DCAN cable.

Seem pretty damn cool! However, not sure if worth it at that price though....

Not cheap by any stretch of the imagination. Would be awesome to have though. It updates the screen, headunit hardware and the control wheel + many other functions. Cool stuff.

The torque/power readout will be as accurate as an AWRON would be as it would probably just pull this from OBD / CANBUS.

Yeah looking at approx 3.4k AUD then shipping then customs then fitting. I sent them an email if they would charge us less if we ordered 5 units at once. Might give a group buy a shot.

Id need to do a crate shipping though If i am to avoid uber customs charges. I'll do some homework on the side

Of course, if you buy 4 or 5 NBT retrofit kits at once, we will offer you a bulk discount.

Sorry Pete I was being sarcastic. Cool mod but not worth the $$$, although I would seriously consider it if it was cheaper. I've got the Pro-nav too + 2014 maps (roughly $70) and it works fine.

Yerp pretty expensive stuff. But it's an option for those who really want it.

I'd rather spend the money on power and aluminium subframe bushings.

So essentially that could be an entire retrofit for those who don't have nav at all, which might make sense if you're desperate for nav and picked up a cheap 2nd hand non-nav e82...

Did anyone ever go through with this upgrade? Just picked up my second 1er which has CCC idrive.. looking at upgrading it to CIC or NBT somewhere down the track
