NBT iDrive touch for E82?

Any of you guys know much about this?

http://bimmerretrofit.com/store/inde...product_id=107

I'm assuming you can have the iTouch controller for an E82 if you also have Professional CIC for the E82?

Just read it doesn't include iDrive touch controller. I think that would be another $250-$300 on top.

The kit I linked pretty sure includes iDrive touch controller. I THINK you need the NBT hardware as well but I cant find it on their site.

Ill send them an email and post back. I already have iDrive CIC Professional.

Here we go guys! This is assuming you have Professional navigation as I asked specifically for my car what I would need to make the in car entertainment M235i -esque

Quote:
Hi Peter,

Thank you very much for your email and apologize about the delay. I needed to verify with the warehouse regarding the availability of the parts for this retrofit – and we have everything in stock.
We will be happy to offer you an NBT retrofit kit for your vehicle. Here is what you will need:

1. Standard eNBT Retrofit Kit
• NBT head unit updated with the latest firmware and pre-coded for your VIN

• NBT CID display for your E82

• CID Video cable

• eNBT Retrofit Adapter (+ activation of navigation, voice control) – standard, no iDrive touch wiring

• Latest available maps

• Installation instructions

• Video streaming from USB stick/USB hard drive (if USB/AUX in the armrest is available)

• Video in Motion activation

• 6NR (BMW Apps)

• Sports display (real-time power and torque meters)

• Full NBT retrofit coding

• Free lifetime firmware updates

Regular price of the kit is $2,699.00CAD, special price is $2,515.00CAD.

We will pre-code the NBT system for your vehicle, but in certain cases, additional coding on the vehicle may be required. If it is required in your case, our engineer will do it for you at no additional charge, but you will need to have a ENET cable for remote coding (http://bimmerretrofit.com/store/inde...&product_id=78) - $75.00CAD. If any coding will be required for the vehicle, you will need USB K+DCAN cable.

2. Wiring kit: Is basically required if you want to retain USB, AUX functionality and Bluetooth functionality.
The price is $375.00CAD.

3. You will also need:
• CIC Fascia (front panel) – can reuse yours
• CIC faceplate – can reuse yours

iDrive touch controller is $500.00CAD extra, includes wiring, iDrive touch controller and module.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you

• Video streaming from USB stick/USB hard drive (if USB/AUX in the armrest is available)
- could put a bunch of music videos on
and
• Sports display (real-time power and torque meters)
- not sure how accurate

Seem pretty damn cool! However, not sure if worth it at that price though....

Would be keen to check it out in your car Pete if you get this done!

Not cheap by any stretch of the imagination. Would be awesome to have though. It updates the screen, headunit hardware and the control wheel + many other functions. Cool stuff.

The torque/power readout will be as accurate as an AWRON would be as it would probably just pull this from OBD / CANBUS.

Yeah looking at approx 3.4k AUD then shipping then customs then fitting. I sent them an email if they would charge us less if we ordered 5 units at once. Might give a group buy a shot.

Id need to do a crate shipping though If i am to avoid uber customs charges. I'll do some homework on the side

If anyone has any other questions they'd like answered let me know.

I only got the business nav screen, not the Pro-wide ones.

Not sure if it works on mine.

Thanks.

Anyone keen for a quote?

PM me your VIN and what configuration you would like. What I listed earlier was the full package.

Edmund, you can get different facia plates as mentioned in their reply to me

Hello Pete,

Yes, sure, we will upload the latest available maps for Australia.
Of course, if you buy 4 or 5 NBT retrofit kits at once, we will offer you a bulk discount.
Please let me know the VIN numbers of the other 3 or 4 vehicles, and I will be happy to give you a quote – price depends on configuration of the vehicle.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you,

Sorry Pete I was being sarcastic. Cool mod but not worth the $$$, although I would seriously consider it if it was cheaper. I've got the Pro-nav too + 2014 maps (roughly $70) and it works fine.

Yerp pretty expensive stuff. But it's an option for those who really want it.

I'd rather spend the money on power and aluminium subframe bushings.

So essentially that could be an entire retrofit for those who don't have nav at all, which might make sense if you're desperate for nav and picked up a cheap 2nd hand non-nav e82...
