Downpipes? What say you?
I've been doing a bit of research on downpipes but I'm curious to get some opinions of people that have them, or have tried a few different types and have direct experience with them.
I'm assuming our cars run clean enough even with catless downpipes to pass smog inspection in NYC, but would there be any issues there? I'm currently stage 1 BMW PPK, looking to get a bit more... Thoughts? Who makes the best? Who makes the worst?

I like my ar design Downpipes. I also compared them to the offering from hpf made my ultimate racing I believe the welds look really good on the ar stuff. Also have seen cpe downpipes they look really high quality.

No you will not be able to pass inspection with downpipes in NY.
Currently there is no commercially available DP fix for the N55 engine. You will have a SES light on your dash |

BMS (berger motor sports) was beta testing and eventually said it was not gunna work.
some one just last week said they made their own and it works, but this is just someone making them by them selves not a company http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=758006 |

Hmmm. That is tempting, but although it may work - it might do bad bad things to my warranty...I'll hold off. But thanks for the info, appreciate it. :-)

Already running a PPK flash...love it - just want a bit more. DP's are a good mod for the money...

Really? I thought the PPK did support dp's. Thanks for the tip - I'll have to do a little more homework.
