Bead Damage
Does anyone know if it's safe or feasible to repair the bead damage in the image below?
Looks like the shop that mounted my tires didn't lubricate the bead and tore it in a flap style cut. At first I thought this was a bead seal issue, hence the ridiculous amount of black goop. Before I toss the thing, let me know if this can be repaired. Thanks |

What kind of shop did you take it too? I would think any reputable shop would realized they ruined that tire and replace it free of charge. If you haven't brought up the fact to them you really should before too much time expires.

If the shop did this and they're at all legit they should absolutely replace it unless you're completely out of your element when you try to talk to them about it.
When shops fuck something up, it's ON THEM. NOT YOU. |

It's good you got them to stand up and cover the damage with a new tire, as they rightfully should've. It's just good business.
