The dyno appears to indicate otherwise. A rear exhaust alone wouldn't product the gains indicated so some of the increase must be attributed to the upgraded FMIC.

I'd go with ETS myself. I just bought their charge pipe and was pretty impressed. Saving $ for the none cutting intercooler now.

Depends entirely how you use the car.

If you'll be doing any road racing/advanced HPDEs -- especially in warm weather, I'd consider it a most worthwhile modification.

Well, they're all pretty stealthy since they're behind the grill.

FWIW, I went with Helix and am very pleased with it. But I've also heard good things about ETS.

In our extensive testing on and off the dyne. The stock FMIC is good at the stock boost levels. Anything higher the IAT's start to climb and timing is pulled. the ETS 5" so far is good to 405 WHP on a warm 86F day.

So you don't think a manufacturer dynoing 2 mods done at the same time and showing the results isn't remotely strange to you? I design and test intercoolers and I stand by my original statement that the fundamentals of that intercooler in regards to the core are lacking even compared to stock. They look to have a good welder, however.

Well I am not the manufacturer so can't comment. Of course it would be great to have an independent dyno as each part was added. My point is with all other tail exhaust systems the gains have been minimal so the FMIC 'should' account for some of the increase. Lets email them to find out.

I think all the intercooler manufacturers should send Burger their intercoolers and have Terry independently dyno them all lol.

I run a Forge Motorsport IC, less than 30 min to fit, no cutting required, bar and plate core and found intake temps ran 15deg cooler (on a dyno with limited airflow) running stock boost levels / software .....

Does that Forge unit use the factory couplers?

Where did you buy the forge intercooler with the factory couplers? All the places I have seen that carry the intercooler only sell it with aftermarket silicone couplers like pictured:
