Euro Headlights

Searching for euro headlights right now as I'm probably going to have to replace my headlights due to cracked tabs. Question is are the 1 series headlights specific to LHD and RHD. I saw on some other BMW headlights that there is a little switch to change from LHD to RHD and vice versa. Is this the case with the 1 series also?

Noop. BMW makes LHD and RHD headlights.

RHD with clear corners (RoW)
RHD with orange corners (USA)

Need to get rid of 2011 bmw 128 e82 orange lenses stat!

Hi! I purchased a brand new (2011) BMW 128i E82. I'm impatiently waiting & looking for the clear front (turn signal light/lenses) european instead of the hideous orange! Why do they have them for 2010 but not 2011? Is the orange light a separate lenses & bulbs like the 323i e46 or do u have to purchase new left n right front lights just to get rid of the orange corners to have clear ? Thank u all! The orange really ruins this brand new 128 & I want to con't modifying. Any help, links, ideas, suggestion would be GREATLY appreciated! Kyt

Hi Kyt,

Is that you in the cape dressed as a catlady? Cute! Do cats and dogs (Dackel German for Dachshund) get along>?

In order to get rid of the orange side reflectors... you need to replace the headlights with the euro versions. And they are $$$. About $1,500 for the two headlights plus labor $400-ish. You have to remove the front bumper to replace the headlights.

You can order euro parts from these euro dealers. They do mail order to the states.

You could also try these euro BMW dealers that do mail order to teh states...

Or... you can do what some 1addicts have done... and have some silver (or any other color you want) foil cut to cover up the relectors. It sounds goofy but it looks decent/ok.
