Perth Order ?

Anyone waiting on a 135i in Perth ?

I placed my order in December last year with an expected March production.

The wait is killing me ...
Who feels my pain ...

I placed mine in August and just got it a month ago!

It is, indeed, a long wait

Very nice specs. Auto or Manual gearbox ?

If Auto, hows it been going ?

welcome to the forum. And as others have said the wait is along one.

While not from the west I thought I'd reply because I am one of the few with an auto that is a regular in the aussie forum.

There are days when we miss the manual (last car was a 130i man) but given we slog through Sydney's peak hour traffic every day we don't regret the decision.

It is a smooth unit and the steering wheel paddles make "manual mode" changing a breeze. But most day we just chuck it Drive and off we go.

It is a case of each to their own. There are some who would NEVER drive an auto and others like me who got tired of rowing through the gears in peak hour.

Hey guys - it is indeed a manual and I paid list for my SSK from AC but got installation free.

Good luck with your orders!

Thanks mate.

Ive always sworn by a manual box but after driving the 135i auto, it did seem very smooth and almost as quick as the DSG box in the GTI.

And according to a 0-100 time of 4.7s in this vid, it would be hard to beat with a manual.

if thats for me, YES i went for the manual. Auto's just aren't right, they're for old men.

My Sales rep was Matt Foss. I just got back from japan the other day after being there for a month and I called up and the receptionist had no idea who the hell I was talking about (she was new). He left/got fired/economic bullshit so the account went to someone else who was suppose to call me but my phone was off for a month but that person also left a week ago.. so yeah, now my account is with their manager Paul.. I think :P

Best tip, forget you've even put down a deposit and one day, they'll call you and say its ready.

May !!!

Contacted the dealer today and my 135 is already in production.

Should have it in May!!!

I’m so excited ... can’t wait ...

I asked them for a production number or a VIN number but they apparently don’t have one yet. Is that possible and have confirmation that the car is currently in production?

I was looking forward to tracking its build too ...

Uncool man... I can guarantee that I am younger than you. I'm 18 and I have an auto. Even though my dad sort of pressured me to get the auto. but anyway it makes perfect sense when you live in a very populated area (for me thats NYC) and get stuck in 5mph traffic often. And don't knock the paddles, they are a breeze to use and I love em.

Should I have been given a VIN number or production number by now ?

My production started beginning of this month.
