That's absolutely true... Luckily I have not had any problems or issues with cops thus far.... As a matter of fact, a lot of people have complemented the way my front license plate looks like.... Cheers!

A similar argument could be made for the information being displayed on your custom plate is sufficient.

This one looks good as well. IMHO, I think the flag looks good.. Note that Texas offers designer license plate similar to my Euro style... But thanks anyway... Cheers!

I got pulled over by a local cop and a state trooper on the highway for no front license plate.

In CA (Oakland), the damn parking cops will give you tickets for no front plate. You won't get pulled over.

I had a 350Z with no front plate for two years, parking it on the street...then the parking cops started enforcing it, and in two weeks I got $170 worth of tickets. Front plate went on quick after that. It'll go on my brand-new 135i this week, too.

I'm quite close to you - I'm in Leander. I was stopped a couple of months ago while travelling South on Ronald Regan towards 1431 for no front license plate on my RX7. He let me off with a warning. Thankfully.

I like your TEXAS-flavored front plate too, looks good. One question though, seemingly obvious, but I'll ask anyway: your rear license plate is the traditional-sized official TEXAS plate, correct?

Thanks

I used to have my front license plate on the right lower corner of the windshield (used suction cups), but it kinda looked a bit odd. So I bought a Rho plate (http://www.rhoplate.com) and used for it a while until I found those Texas Euro style plates. The Rho plate is quite good and I'm keeping in just in case... I also carry my official TX front plate in the trunk.

As far as the rear plate, I have the traditional-sized newly designed TX plate.. Well, Cheers and welcome to the forum...

Have gotten stopped 3 times for not having the front plate, always ended with a warning.
Mind you it was always around 2am, it was probably an excuse to check if i have been drinking or something.

Bump! Any updates ? I just got pulled over, and I need to figure out whether I should go the tow hook route or get these customized euro plates with the Texas flag. I'm still gonna keep my front license plate on the windshield, but I want to mount something as well so these cops don't ticket me.

Are these customized plates legal in Texas? They're def much better looking than the new design.

Many thanks in advance.

Cheers!
I ordered mine from that site, live near Dallas and never had a problem.

Wow that license plate is just begging to get your car keyed. Superior? Really? You are a brave man
