The Ultimate Loaner Car

So, my E90 is in the shop today getting the Sirius radio installed and they found out they needed another part. So they called and told me and said they would overnight the part and finish it tomorrow. Now, my dealer offers pick-up and delivery service - so my wife and I swapped cars today (she works local, I have a long commute). The dealer said they would deliver her a loaner today to keep until tomorrow when they bring our car back.

They called me to let me know they delivered her the car and said they hoped it would be okay... a 2004 745i. Yeah, I think we'll be okay with that for a day or so...

Might just have to take a little spin this evening.

Very nice! Why can't all dealers be like this?

Yep. They delivered the car to her, showed her how everything worked, etc. They even offered to make another trip out to bring her the garage door opener from my glove box (we thanked them and said that wasn't necessary). I'm always more than happy to give this dealer five stars every time!

Took the 745li for a little spin this evening - just to see how the other half lives. Wow.

I.G. Burton in Milford, DE. Top notch dealership and good people. And I'm only a 325i customer. But they do know a secret about customer service because I WILL buy from them again!

Now that is top notch service, the NJ dealers need to read this board and learn how to treat their customers!

I won't even comment on the Manhattan BMW who refuses to sell cars for under MSRP (maybe I just had a bad salesman)

My NJ dealer/service... surprise

I dropped off my 2006 330i for DRL and speed sensitive locking programming updates this AM ( gave me a X3 loaner :- what a piece of junk !). What surprised me was that their service bay was full of late model cars: 2005s and a few 2006s. The service tech told me they take in 50 cars/day and have 20 techsworking. So what gives ? Aren't these cars supposed to be dependable ? Free maintenance is OK, but FREquent maintenance ? Perhaps, its these NJ roads that break these cars.
