09 m3 idrive vs 09 135 idrive
I just see an 2009 m3 on sat at the car wash with this same 3d like buildings on his i drive how come we don't get that on are 3d view on are 2009 i drive?
look at this video its basically what i saw on sat!

I don't see much use for the 3D view at all. Plus how could that be helpful to you when you're still flat on the ground? I don't feel bad at all about not having the feature.

All of the '09 and newer NAV systems have 3D capability. I think that you have to turn off traffic information to get it to work. Not all areas have 3D data so even with it turned on you might not see any 3D buildings. Bigger cities usually have 3D buildings.

To me i think it looks cool as hell in that view but if it doesn't work that would suck a little cause i had the car for a while and never figure it out so no big deal its just that if the 135 doesn't have it and the m3 does i would like to know why?

Our iDrive system is identical to the one in the 3 series. We do indeed have the 3D buildings but I never use them personally.
