Do you have to change the drain plug every oil change or just the seal?

What's the dealership's routine for this?

I can't seem to find the oil change kits on the site anymore. I want the whole package (kit, wrench, plug).

You need to change the "crush" washer because it well... it gets crushed when you tighten the drain plug. The washer is coper based( but silver in color, & plated) and it flatens out when you torque the drain bolt.

You re-use the drain bolt and always put a fresh washer on.

This!

I highly recommend the magnetic drain plug, it's $8.45!

Even if you end up hating it.... it's $8.45... lol

Click on the oil kit picture. I will add a hyperlink with words to the OP. The oil kit for 1ers has the option to select just the oil kit, oil kit + drain plug, or oil kit + plug + wrench

Just placed my order to replace the oil change kit that I used recently. This time I added the drain plug.

Looks like Paypal makes you have an account now instead of just processing the order like they use to... unless I'm missing something.

Sorry guys, we don't sell 0w-40. Although I'm not even familiar with that thin of an oil being used on a track car to be honest. What set up are you running?

Dan,

I know you can't ship oil to APO addresses ...

What would I be looking at for the oil change kit with O-Rings/crush washer (minus the oil), oil filter wrench, and magnetic drain plug?

Thanks.

Rich,

Added the oil filter kit to the listing. Check it out, add the cheapest shipping option for each and if it comes to cheaper for APO shipping, I'll send you a PayPal refund.

Dan,

Thanks for adding that. Is there any way I can get the drop down option to select the magnetic drain plug and oil filter wrench for $33.25 extra? Currently I have to add the plug and wrench separately (roughly $12 for the plug and $30 for the wrench). Let me know. Thanks.
