If you're willing to pay extra for it then it's worth it. If you're not then it isn't.

Worth It !!!

Comfort Access is one of the Best features on my 330XI ! Not only do you not have to reach for your keys, all of your presets ( seat postiion, mirrors etc) adjust when you get in the car. They key does not have to be placed in the Dash, and to lock your car all you do is touch the handle. At this point i would not get another car without Comfort Access.

Hmm, this is interesting because I have noticed that CA doesn't like to be locked then unlocked in quick succession. It is like there is a timeout or something between accesses. Perhaps this is at the root of the whole boot/trunk thing... I either do the same thing as you or give up and use the key, but this is a rare occasion.

The Professional Nav has more features (bigger screen, Map display) but otherwise the Business is better.

The longer loading times of the Professional Nav are "normal" and thereīs nothing the dealer can do about them. Sometimes newer versions of the Nav and system software will speed up the boot time, but thatīs not guaranteed.
Thanks for this. This is very useful information.

Oh Led, that one wins the award for most helpful post of the day.

Whatsup? Had something bad for lunch? No lunch at all?

There is a 2 second minimum time-out between locking and unlocking. Itīs in the manual.

OK, I had better RTFM. I must have skipped those pages in excitement!

Wasn't trying to be sarcastic. I don't have CA on my cars, and didn't feel it was worth the $ for me. I love cool stuff, and that's a cool feature, but I just didn't feel like paying extra for it. I'm sure many others feel that it is worth paying extra for, and thus my post. It's like every other option (or even car brand for that matter) - if you want it enough to pay the premium price then it is "worth it" to you, otherwise it's not.

Some questions posted here are difficult or impossible to answer, like "what color should I get". I understand people like to hear other's thoughts, as do I, but ultimately it is one's own decision what to buy.

So I reprogrammed the car to unlock all doors rather than the 2-stage unlocking it was set at, and viola! all doors open now when I open the driver's door with CA. Not an option if you live in a high crime area though I would suspect.
dose the passenger have to a have fob too?
or is when the driver opens/unlocks the door the passenger's work too?

If you have your locking set to "all doors unlock" then the passengers don't have to have a fob, but if you have progressive unlock then they need one if you don't want to scoot around to open their door for them, or get in and press the door unlock button on the dash.

CA doesn't work on the rear doors, so I set locking to "all unlock" to get around my problem of always stashing stuff on the seat behind me.
