TPMS on VMRs

Have my new 135i on the way and am considering getting a set of v701 VMRs.

What do I need to know about TPMS? are there sensors I should be getting with the VMRs? or do I transfer them from the stock wheels?

Also do the stock BMW centre caps just transfer across?

We don't have TPMS in Australia.

Yeah your stock caps will work

Well we do have tpms, but not the sensor inside the rim, there is an external sensor on the wheel hub iirc

I thought the car just compares how fast each wheel is spinning in comparison to each other - i.e. not a pressure sensor as such. And therefore if all tyres are low then it wont detect a problem.
