When i started to become a tight-arse and see if driving a bit smoother helped, it really did. Traffic pays a huge piece towards fuel consumption, as it adds to the amount of acceleration you do (stop-start-stop-start etc) and at lower speeds for same revs (higher FC).

I didnt end up getting the 125 or 135 but rather a ford G6E turbo..deal was too good to refuse.
Anyway, I find that on the open road it's around 9.2 but in the stop start of driving through the CBD every day I am pushing to get better than 16 l per 100 unless I accellerate so slowly I am embarrassed to show my face. It's just the way it is no matter what the car I think ... performance cars seem to suffer more. |

I've had the 135 for over a year now and am averaging 13.6 Litres per 100Kms. This is not bad considering my Subaru Liberty GT with less power is averaging 13.7 Litres per 100kms. Most of my driving is city driving.
Fuel economy has never been a consideration for me when purchasing my cars. You can't expect great fuel economy from performance cars. |

I was low 9's (not a great deal of stop/start), but took it in for its first service and although the service centre says they didn't do anything that would change fuel consumption, it's now around 10.5. Would they have done anything during the service or am I imagining things (it seems to idle differently now too)?

In my 335 i always have it in full manual mode and around brisbane city traffic i get 11.8 all the time and cruising at 110ks its 6.7 which is great my last car was a lexus is250 and it wasn't too far below those figures but got heaps more power so the 135s should be around that as well being only 50kg lighter than my coupe.

I'm getting 11.2L/100km with combined peak hour and highway driving. Not too bad considering I'm not a total Nazi about the fuel consumption, since I like to put my foot down when the road opens up.
