It seems that the Arabs in Dubai favour the Holden Caprice sold there as a Chevy Lumina when it comes to choosing their drift cars... And in this video, also a brand new 7 series...

I work for BMW and I'm sure we wouldn't cover that under warranty when he inevitably breaks it...

Idiots. Plain and simple. Here's what happens when it all goes wrong. There's a totalled Beemer in the first minute. Pretty horrific scene at 2:50 as a pedestrian is wiped out.

That is just mental. I thought it was pretty crazy initially for all those people to be standing on the side of a drag strip. Then later I realised that it was a public road with other road traffic on it at the same time!! Absolutely INSANE!!

I disagree. These videos are most likely from Saudi Arabia where due to high unemployment, low education and free money, you have a bunch of young, disaffected men who have nothing else to do with their lives other than screw around in their cars with tragic consequences. It'd be no different in many other countries/cultures given the same circumstances.

You're probably right. But there seems to be a total disregard for the potential loss of life, both of the people in the cars and the spectators. Seemingly more so than one would imagine in other countries or cultures. It's almost as if they don't mind dying.

One thing for sure, they would be fully conscious of the potential danger as no alcohol would be involved in their antics.
