Auth BBS wheels

So i was cruising in 1///m section and found a thread talking about the exclusive BBS wheels in Japan. Went to BBS Japan (thanks no %$#^&, English available), and found out that BBS Japan has the LM in 1 specific ET, but not for US market. Not surprising many LE stuffs are Japan exclusive. Easy money over that country.

LM 233 18×8.0 45 5/114.3 PFS \102,375 \106,575
LM 234 18×9.0 48 5/114.3 PFS \106,575 \110,775

Sure the price is rock high. Just mention.

Well, the luxury brands (auto, Gucci, etc.) are really popular in Asia market in general. I've read articles on how the sales EXPLODED during the past 10 years and seems the market continues to increase. Regarding the wheels, i do not really understand why BBS does not offer much options in States, considering the global sales in North America is considerable compared to other regions. Probably BBS already knows for such a premium price, it is not going to gain much willingness to purchase in NA market. Considering average Joe prefers AT than MT, not many will consider wheel upgrades in general. So i believe the above two explain your WHY. My opinion only.

FLOSS probably still has another set of BBS LM's from Japan. I would contact him if you are really interested. If he doesn't have them anymore, tell him what you want. He is the man that can find it for you.

Mine came over from Japan through him, authentic, true two-piece. 5/114.3, inserted and re-drilled to 5/120. High 1-series offsets. Aggressive widths. 3 of the centers were gold and 1 was silver. All the barrels were brushed aluminum. He painted the centers hyper-black and refurbished/polished the barrels.

Get the reps from BavarianX...similar weight, same looks...$700 for 4 wheels....forget paying BBS prices seriously. I paid 4x that price for my Vorsteiners and they are worse quality than wheels 1/4 the price. Never buying super expensive wheels again:

Yes, i contacted Lawrence already. His package price is good as well. I just feel quite OK with the current OEM 207M at the moment (cannot wait to dump the RFT for the A/S now) plus wait to see the quality of Eurotek RP. I am with you at this, do not want to spend tons on the most likely to be damaged mod.

What made your Vorsteiners low quality?

Most likely damaged mod? Your wheels? I would hope not. My friend just got the reps. They don't fit right, to the point that they send you a 5mm spacer that you have to use, because if you don't they will cause a vibration in your steering wheel... The reps are not a two-piece wheel either. So if you damage a certain part of the wheel you have to order a whole new wheel.

1. Sent with center caps that didn't fit...had to send them back for fitment
2. Offset is off...they rub...custom wheels shouldn't rub AT ALL...that is why they are "custom".
3. The finish started flaking after one year on the face of the wheel. I have had cheap ASA wheels where the finish was great after 2+ years....

Like I said NEVER AGAIN....

They aren't LMs but the 216s that came on the LE 130i are BBSs and they come in the correct offset.
