Ian were you mocking that dood in ur sig who said he liked the 328 over his 135? Cuz i sorta felt the 328 loaner I had felt a lil faster in the lower gears myself. I know pretty much why but still.

Why not just take it to the dealer and have them resolve it? Also, the armrest on the doors has been known to squeek....a shot of WD-40 between the arm rest and door panel stops it. Mine did it after the first winter....now a year later, still no squeek. You can also spray a leather protectorant in there and it also works.

I think he means graphite as a lubricant on the hinge.

if you do a no corrosive safe plastic lube like seafoam i belive you can buy it at autozone on the hinge part and the diy at the beggining of this post it becomes silent

Well, liberally spraying the hinge with ICE interior cleaner /protectant 100% solved the issue with my 2012 128. Armrest totally silent now even on rough roads. I'm sure though its not going to be a permanent fix but if I have to repeat only every month or so that's be fine.

Will have to have a look at this, suddenly in the past two weeks the squekes have gotten louder and really bad, I got 120k KM with silent motoring so I must be lucky lol.I will see if I can snap some pics later.
