What headlights are these?

Website I found them on said they were spyder brand, but these are definitely not spyder.

Are these OEM e87 headlights or are they aftermarket?

I think I figured out that they are oem e87 headlights with a halogen low beam. Does anyone know if these will work without the ballast in them?

I have halogen in my car now, but I plan an running a halogen bulb (or HID kit) with it within the xenon ballast section. Will these throw codes that I cannot remove? I am trying to run my stock wiring with these headlights and I do not want to retrofit for oem. The new wiring loom looks like a huge hassle, but aftermarket headlights for halogen cars are not looking as good as these. Any info would be great.

Ok let's get to it.
These headlights are for halogen bulbs. Swap the bulbs over and no codes are thrown with similar or better light output.
If you are set to purpose for HID. The light out will be similar or less than a halogen bulb because the projector (glass refractor and reflective bowl) is not designed for an HID bulb. But you will need a wiring harness from theretrofitsource.com to utilise bulb and ballast without throwing codes.
Definitely more interesting than standard reflector halogen housing.

Thanks for the information Grey_Panther, hopefully these are PnP with US e82's. Still have not been able to find what they look like from the back to see if the connectors are the same.
