Push to start button

I recently purchased a 2012 128i, only thing wrong is that the push to start button has had its finish worn off, looks like a some one used a nail to start the car. i was just wondering if any one knows of any stickers that could cover the button, or am i just going to have to replace the button.

Maybe you can find a BMW roundel or motorsport sticker on eBay that's the right size to fit over the button... It might look pretty cool.

Replace the button.. Personally think a sticker would look tacky and worse than a worn button.

Mine was the same way and it's easy to replace. I ordered one from ebay and replaced it in about 10 minutes. I also sprayed the button with a clear coat of paint to prevent it from getting scratched up again (before I installed it).

Check this thread for good info on how to get the button out: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=688421

I took a chance and bought a used one from an individual, a quick search found this one:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2008-BMW-135...9V-4BL&vxp=mtr

There are also a few BMW dealers that sell on ebay as well. I searched ebay for "BMW e82 start button". The part number for the switch is 61316949499 (you can also google "BMW 61316949499")
