Anyone else love feeding their baby?
Everytime I'm about to gas my car up, I have this smirk and a happy feeling. I guess i like having a full tank and knowing that i'm able to motor as much as i want (kinda). :rocks:
Anyone else feel the same ever?

With my 115 mile commute (round trip) I get to gas up all too often. No thrill there for me.

Yeah, going to the gas station is about as fun as drinking a glass of sand.
If I owned stock in some oil companies, I guess I'd feel a little better...until that highly-anticipated alternate hydrogen fuel comes out I heard a story that some guy came out with an alternate fuel but the oil companies killed him. That's good for a chuckle, but I think I saw that on the discovery channel or something once. They also had these conspiracy theorists talk about how all the oil supplies were cut off to Germany during WWII, and yet they still had fuel to run all the tanks and planes. They were saying the Germans had invented some kind of alternate fuel back then. Anyone else see this show? |

I fill about every week which usually costs me close to 50. It's not a bad feeling to drive with a full tank I always try to drive conservative but end up being too agressive. The car is just too much fun to drive

Just try living in many countries outside of the US where a fill costs upwards of USD $80 and that smile will disappear very quickly. Hence, the reason that so many of us have switched to diesel.

Sorry. I heard that BMWs make the best mass produced cars in the world. Sounds like a good conspiracy to me!!!

I'm not sure I really believe it, but I've seen that show (actually it was just on the other day) and they do make some really valid points. Anyway, I got an A in public speaking, and an A on that exam |

Okay, I didn't mean to trivialize the cost of gas.. I meant it more to be about being excited about having a full tank cause driving this car is just so much fun.
But yeah, paying for gas doesn't deserve any smiles thesedays.

In Ireland, diesel is almost the same price as petrol now and for a while was also more. However, considering the extraordinary mileage it still works out much cheaper. Also once you have experienced the massive torque, elasticicity, overtaking ability and refinement of a modern TDI/Common Rail, you will find it very hard to go back to a petrol car. There is something special about diesel power and BMW are one of the best. |

I don't drive my car regularly to work, so I fill up every couple weeks or so. But I'm not too happy about paying $40-45 to fill a tank of no more than 16 gallons. Funny thing is that I was in upstate NY a week ago and realized it was the first time I put gas in the car myself during my 2 1/2 months of ownership.
I always fill up in NJ. Not only is the gas clost to 20 cents cheaper than NYC, but all NJ gas stations are full service. I think there is a law about people pumping thier own gas here.
