$1k For Oil Gaskets

i just spend $2300 on oil filter housing, oil pan, valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, coolant flush, oil change. parts were about $500... labor was the rest.

the oil pan is labor intensive - requires the k-member to be dropped and engine held in a cradle.

Those are a pain to do. The oil filter housing and cooler a visible once you open the hood. It's on my list of things to do. The gaskets are only $50.

Not surprised at the price... I got stuck with a $600+ battery.

I almost got that bullet last summer. I complained BMW NA and got it for free under warranty.

I've been working BMWNA for about a month now... No luck so far.

Shame you already paid. I wonder if they were less of a pain on me since I wasn't willing to pay.
