MHD/JB4 Issues
I ordered a Jb4 for my car but since it took a while to come in, currently living in Hawaii. I went ahead and used a friend K D Can cable to flash the MHD Stage 2+, car is FBO.
I honestly loved the MHD flash. I always tried to stay away from JB4, but wanted to give it a try. When my JB4 arrived I went ahead and installed it, without flashing my DME back to stock. I am waiting on the cable. Anyway, I installed it and ran Map 4, thinking that the JB4 will use the current MHD flash as stock. I wanted the JB4 to log, gauges, auto clear, etc... Remember no K D Can cable yet. So, the car runs with power but weird, throwing codes, even when they clear real quick. When I switch the JB4 to Map 0 is like I am disabling everything. No boost at all and when I step on the gas the half engine comes on. If I switch back to Map 4 all good, but again weird. This is a bit confusing, Map 4 should not mess with the DME, whether is flashed or not, it should just let you use the gauges and such. As well as Map 0 should not mess with the DME. Any ideas on what is happening? I'll probably just take the JB4 off or wait until my cable arrives and do the backend flash. |

sounds like its configured wrong. use n54tech and they're support plus Terry will get you properly setup. iso with latest 15 firmware and 4/4 is likely what you're after for jb4 bypass.

Should not cause you any problems. Did you get the BMS USB cable?

You need to have it set to passthrough mode to use it for gauges etc.
