First service

I took delivery of my 135i back in April 2008. It has been almost two years and I currently have 13,8xx miles on the car. I personally did the first oil change after engine break in at ~2k miles and another oil change ~8k miles. Can I take the car in for service even though I have not reached 15k miles?

yes, even easier than you are thinking, there's a 'complimentary' service one year in. so no problems there!

If you don't achieve 12k in the first year then you go onto a low mileage service interval which is once a year I believe.

The service indicator will still show an oil change is required even if you have not driven more than 15000 miles based on a year interval from your last service.

True, but new owners should check their readout. My early '08 128i showed 2 years remaining to the first service when I took delivery, although my SA had no problem with a 1 year oil change. Hopefully, that glitch has since been corrected.

I made a service appointment for this coming Monday. According to my car computer, my schedule oil change is not til 06/2011. Something must be wrong with the software! I hope to get a brake fluid flush also.
