Advice regarding damaged vehicle after service.

The facts:

Took my 135i to get service. Specifically asked the service rep NOT to wash the car. I saw him write in on the order form. (my car has always been properly hand washed)

24hrs later:

1)picked up vehicle, car was washed.
2)Rho front liscence plate bracket was broken.
3)Front liscence plate bent severely down the center.
4)Swirl marks in paint job

Sales rep asked me to forward him receipt to Rho plate so that he could cut me a check. What can I do regarding my paint job?? ADVICE. Thanks

A proper detailing can rid you of the swirls. But based on the competence, or lack thereof, displayed by your service center I would plan to do it yourself...

lol. swirl marks do not mean you need a new paint job. sheesh. Any competent detail shop can polish those out in a couple hours.

Everyone will have an opinion - but here's my story.

On December 28th when I rolled in to Holtz BMW to sign the papers on the 135i Jet Black, I was also droppiong off my trade - a 2003 E46 325i Jet Black. We all know how hard black is to maintain.

As I pulled in to the dealership I noticed my sales agent was sitting in the 135i presetting up some of the stuiff for me to minimize my wait time. So I just pulled my 6 year old Bimmer up right next to the new 1er and parked. He got out, a few other dealership folks came over and there was one commong comment made many times by all present - Damn, the paint on that 3 series looks every bit a good as your brand 135! Deep, dark, wet looking and NO SWIRLS.

I used Zaini products exclusively for the full 6 years. That and my trusty Porter cable.

And that's all I have to say about that...

I suggest, if you never have detailed a car, to let someone show you first. Its possible you might make it worse if you use the wrong compound and/or pad.
