so are the 1'ers getting ripped off or the 3'ers getting what they deserve?

just looking the engines, the 125i 3l = 160kw 270nm, the 325 2.5L = 160kw 250nm.

Now i realise we have more torque which is more important than kw, but surely they could have given us a few extra kw since we've got an extra .5l?

I'm assuming that the 125 engine is basically a detuned 130 engine?

i was under the impression that the 325i's were changed over to the 3.0Ls with the same spec as the 125i??? i could be completely wrong though.
i dont think the 125s are getting ripped off, as the badge does still say "25" not "30". i think they just detuned the 3.0L to 2.5L spec (or there abouts), possibly a way to cut down production costs????

Or make it a bigger difference between the 125i and the 135i. Similar to Subarus for years where the standard WRX performance was reined in to ensure that there was a noticeable leap in performance to the STi.

that would be more like if they detuned the x30 cars wouldn't it?? but in this case they've called it a x25 kept a similar spec but changed the engine.

(Unless they had been changed recently) - the 325i has the 2.5L light weight engine, as opposed to what was on the 330i (190kw), and 130i.

The 125i carries the 3.0L engine detuned to 160kw.

The current 325 is very slow. I driven a demo for a day while my car is having a tint. It is very overquoting the torque figure... or the fully optioned 325 is very heavy??
