Trim swap
Hello 1'ers -
I'd like to know how tough/costly it is to swap the wood trim in a 135 vert to the aluminum trim. Any advice / experience is much appreciated. Thanks! - Larry |

The toughest part will be changing out the center pieces around the ashtray. You have to remove the whole center console order to access a few screws that hold those trim pieces. (See photo)
The other pieces like the dash and door handle pop off easily with right tool. I pick up a set of plastic trim tools for like $15 There are some DIY on this site so you can review those to see what you are getting yourself into.

Like Rocketpop said, the ashtray trim is the hardest to do. You need to take the whole center console out of the car. (Follow this guide: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...center+console) I wrapped my interior in carbon a month ago and I would say it's pretty easy, don't be scared or anything because it's not that hard. The door and dash pieces are just 2 minutes to switch I think! good luck
