Advice on a modded 135i
Hey guys I'm coming over from the F22 B58 world. I'm looking at a 2011 135i currently and the price is right but the modification list is extensive and a bit concerning. For context I am comfortable working on my B58 and simply run stage 2 BM3 93, and stage 2 xHP.
This car has AT LEAST the following mods that the owner could tell me about: Pure Stage 2 turbos BMS Intake FMIC VRSF Catless DP Berk Exhaust AEM Meth kit VRSF Charge pipe Delphi Ignition coils LDS Wedge tune for MHD and the Meth Injection BC coil overs Fuel-it stage 2 pump. The previous owner was a Navy mechanic and then an independent mechanic afterward. My concern is the car has 108,000 miles and I have 0 experience with meth injection, it seems simple if not slightly risky. Is there an easy way to remove the meth kit, use my BM3 license and just tune down to a stage 2 93, and xHP stage 2? Should I just leave the meth kit? New to N55's and any advice is welcome. Also I know "never buy someone elses project car" but the price is right and it seems fun to work on and spruce up since the exterior needs a tiny bit of TLC but I'd like "safe and reliable" power. |

The mods sound pretty normal and solid. It would make sense since it’s tuned and they are the common supporting mods. As for the meth kit the ones I’ve seen could be enabled or disabled so you don’t necessarily have to remove it. You should ask the guy if you can enable or disable it. And if you like it and the price is right go for it. 👍

I have meth injection and put a small toggle under my dash and can turn the whole kit on and off. But if you don't can simple unhook the pump power and not use it. If it is a single nozzle in the chargepipe it will only help with iat's if you remove it or turn it off I'd look into changing your tune. There are certain parameters you would need changed
