What kind of work are you after. There a good shop I can vouch for near me in fishers but not for custom stuff.

I am looking for basic stuff. Nothing custom. I just need a guy who can diagnose and work on my car for general issues. Right now I have a p0010 DTC . Need to change the sensor.

That should just be camshaft position sensor and/or vanos solenoid. Should be a 30 minute job. Sure you wanna pay someone to do all that?

No I am gonna do this by myself. Since my car is getting old, if there are any major issues in future I want to give my car to someone reliable and not the dealer/bmw service.

Right on. Hash imports has a very good reputation but idk if you’re down to bring it to Fishers. I used them for a water pump on a X3 a few years back before I had the space to do all my own work.

Thanks! I don't mind driving for an hour as long as I get good service. Also how is the labour cost?

That cool man. Do you happen to know which is the "bank1 cam position sensor"? Is it the passenger side or the one in the centre of the engine?
