1 series convertible roof issues

Would anyone know if an ambient temperature sensor on a 1 series convertible would stop the roof from going down. Red open flight flashes windows go down but roof and boot don't open. I bought this as a fixer upper and would appreciate any info on any common faults or where to maybe start looking at a possible fix

Do a couple of open/close windows cycles. Turn off car let it sit for a few minutes. Try again. I read this and tried myself when was getting same error. Roof worked agian. Good luck.

Maybe try disconnecting the battery for ten minutes or so.
