135i step with blow off valve

Does the blow off valve go off when you hit up shift on the paddle while not letting go of the gas or does it only go off when you step off the gas pedal ?

I'm guessing it does as the boost drops when changing gears (hence vacuum) which opens the stock diverter valves.

There's not much of a drop off in boost when shifting in a step. So I dont think you're gonna hear much blow-off valve noise between shifts

You will only hear it once you let off the throttle.

I have bov w/ steptronic and you can only hear when u let off the throttle. Usually sound loudest in 3rd gear.
