Michelin super sport tires

ARE AMAZING! If you can swing the premium price for them definitely go for them. I can hook all the way through first and I'm FBO. Ride great and are also quiet.

Really??? Thats ridiculous. With my mods I spin through third gear if I don't modulate the throttle.

Sounds like I know what my next set of tires will be.

In the cold I still spin into 2nd...once it's warm though you can get on them pretty aggressively with no spin though

What's your next setup? I'm curious here

Good tires but don't last as long as the Direzzas on the track or at auto c events.

I'm on 225/40r18 front and 255/35r18 rear, which is a minor stretch on my v701s, which are 8.5" and 9.5" respectively.

My next set-up will be 235s front and 265s on the rear, Michelin PSS. I already have my fenders rolled right now, and the set-up has been done before by another forum member with v708s with zero rub on rolled fenders, so I should be golden. I'll report back after its done.

Sounds good to me. I'm planning to use the same exact setup with yours but I will use apex arc-8 wheels I think because I don't have to roll fenders to fit 265 on the back

You could probably fit 275s in back if you wanted.

I'm gonna try Michelin PSS 225/35/19 fr 255/30/19 my next tires. I'm worried about rubbing but the tires sound too good to not try it.

I've heard so many people on these forums singing praise for it, that I'm probably gonna try and get my fenders rolled just to try em out. For the street, they apparently can't be beat.

Currently have 215/245 on 19x8.5 and 19x9.5, and these are only available 225/255. Hopefully the roll will give me that 10 mm clearance (and more since the PSS run pretty wide/square).

Are you speaking about apex arc-8 wheels on the back? I did ask them and they recommend 235F and 265R, if I want to go for wider setup I should do some mods, at least rolled the fender.

Yes and I know that with just a bit of fender roll, you can fit a 275 in back.

Okay. Silly question though, since I'm not familiar with fender roll, should I do it in auto shop or what? How long does it take?by the way, if I lowered the car about 1.5", do you think 235F and 265R still fit without fender roll?

Good to hear! I'm planning on running these on my Alufelgen CS7's that I just ordered up from OEM concepts. Still waiting to hear back on some prices for the tires, hopefully I can get a good deal

1speedbike and CL19, what wheels/offsets are y'all running? My stats are listed in my signature. I had my fenders aggressively rolled as soon as I bought my wheels. You can roll fenders yourself but you can screw it up and even crack your paint so I'd have someone experienced do it. Often a high end wheel shop has the equipment. I think I paid $60 per fender?

It's tough to gain 10 clearance with a roll on our cars, more likely you'll gain 5mm or so. After the roll you'll still want to figure out where you rub and pull, etc the fenders a little in those areas. The pain problem area after a rub on our cars is where the rear bumper attaches.

Funny enough I woredk out my rubbing with a 245/35 Hankook rear tire then when I went to 255/30 Toyos I had tons of room. I also gained room/decreased my rub when I removed my rear seat. Funny enough, if the PSS's rub, I'll probably go ahead and upgrade to a lightweight battery first to see how much that helps.

I got my 225/40-18 and 255/35-18 PSS mounted on the stock M wheels on Friday. The difference from the run flats is night an day.

I am seeing a quick rub on the right rear when I go over a bump, though. I think the outer corner is touching the inner lining. I've heard it reported here before, but am not sure what to do about it.

How about noise level as same as PS2? That was the number one complains on PSS.
