jerking?
hi. i bought my 128i automatic 3 weeks ago and on friday i experienced the weirdest thing. i was driving for about 15 minutes when suddenly the car started jerking, RPM was revving like crazy high but the car's speed wouldn't really budge. i was at 40mph and RPM was probably at 3.5-4. it felt like the car was kinda stalling. then the service light came on- looks like a sun with an exclamation point. i basically had to pull over and restarted my car but still the same problem. managed to make it home then when i turned off my car, the blue tooth connection would not disconnect. i was out of my car, keys in hand, car turned off, by my trunk and the connection would not end. i drove again for 5 minutes but the jerking problem seems to have disappeared and the service light is gone. should i take it to the dealership?

I always press the speakerphone button on my phone as I depart my car and the calls come with me with no problem.
Jerking and warning lights are not normal. Take it to the dealer. Good luck.

Th warning light that came on is not a "sun" It is a "gear" with th "!" point in the middle..
That is the Transmission failsafe warning light... could mean big things or little things... when that light came on you car shifted to 3rd gear and stayed there... ( no matter what you do in the car BTW) its in failsafe / Limphome mode.. You need to get it in quickly...
